How long should knotless braids be kept in?
Most people take them out within about 6–8 weeks, the limit the American Academy of Dermatology suggests for braids. Because each braid starts on your own hair, new growth and root frizz show early; that's cosmetic. Take them out sooner if your scalp is sore, itchy or bumpy, or your edges start to thin.
